How we look after your information.
This page explains what information this website collects about you, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: very little. There are no accounts, no forms, no tracking or advertising cookies, and no analytics.
Who we are
Inner Story Health is responsible for this website and for the information described on this page. If you have a question about any of it, write to hello@innerstoryhealth.com.
When you visit this website
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any website, when your browser asks for a page it sends some technical details with the request: your IP address, the type of browser and device you are using, the page you asked for and the time. Cloudflare uses these to deliver the page to you and to protect the site from attacks and misuse. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in running a website that works and is safe.
We do not use these details to find out who you are, we do not combine them with anything else, and we keep no records of them ourselves. Cloudflare keeps its logs for a short time under its own privacy policy. Cloudflare works internationally, so these details may be handled outside the UK, with the protections UK data protection law requires.
Everything the pages need, including the fonts, the images and the 3D scenes, comes from this website itself. Visiting it sends nothing about you to Google, Facebook or any other company.
What stays on your device
If you fill in one of the challenges at the end of a guide, your answers are kept in your own browser and are never sent to us. We cannot see them. The cookies and storage page explains exactly what is kept and how to remove it.
When you write to us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to answer you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us.
Please tell us only as much about your health as we need in order to help. If your message does include health information, we handle it with extra care and use it for nothing but your reply. The legal basis for that is your explicit consent, which you give by sending it and can withdraw at any time by asking us to delete your message.
Email to our address is received by Cloudflare, which passes it on to the inbox we read it in and does not keep it. We keep a message only for as long as we need it to deal with what you asked, and then we delete it.
Booking a consultation
The Book a consultation button takes you to the booking system of The Messina Clinic, which is run by Zanda Health. What you enter there is collected by the clinic and its booking provider, not by this website, and their privacy notices apply to it.
Links to other websites
This website links to others, such as Instagram and The Messina Clinic. Once you follow a link, that website's own privacy notice applies.
What we never do
We do not sell your information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not make automated decisions about you.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or stop using it. To do any of these, write to hello@innerstoryhealth.com. We will answer within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so that we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
